About

Meet Lizzie

Lizzie is a Registered Nurse who brings a deeply intuitive and holistic approach to healing. Her interest in healing began in the early 1990s, guided by a strong inner knowing and a desire to help others reconnect with their innate healing potential. She began healing at the bedside as a Registered Nurse in 1995, providing compassionate care and holding space for patients and their families during life’s most vulnerable moments.

Over the years, Lizzie explored many different healing modalities through books, classes, and meditation. This exploration deepened her understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection and expanded her vision of what true healing can be. Training in Reiki was a natural progression, and since 2020, she has been offering calming and restorative energy sessions that support balance on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

Lizzie also integrates dowsing into her healing sessions to identify and clear energetic blockages, tailoring each session to the client’s unique needs. A lifelong lover of nature, she finds joy and inspiration in gardening, working with plants, and being among flowers. This reverence for the natural world comes alive in her handcrafted flower essences, which are intuitively created to support emotional healing and energetic harmony.

Rooted in compassion, connection, and care, Lizzie creates a safe, nurturing space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered on their healing journeys.

Meet Zoot

Zoot is an intuitive reader and healer based in Brooklyn, New York, with a lifelong connection to the energetic realms. Since childhood, he has been able to sense and “just know” things without explanation—insights that often emerged when others confided in him about their deepest challenges. These moments naturally evolved into what he called his “random life lectures,” offering clarity and perspective for both the listener and himself.

His journey began with vivid imaginative play, lucid dreaming, and candle gazing, and deepened at seventeen when he began formal meditation training. He later completed a two-and-a-half-year clairvoyance program, refining his ability to see and translate the subtle energetic patterns shaping a person’s inner and outer life.

In his work, Zoot provides insight and clarity by verbally painting a picture of the energetic dynamics influencing emotions, beliefs, thought patterns, habits, outlook, and opinions. This process offers clients a fresh perspective—helping them see themselves more clearly and realign with their highest potential.

He also incorporates flower essences, gentle yet potent vibrational remedies, to support emotional balance and energetic harmony. Through his sessions, he helps determine which essence best supports each client, ensuring they leave feeling grounded, aligned, and empowered.

High Oaks Blooming: A Century of Family, Gardens, and Legacy

In 1920, Charles Prescott Howard and Elizabeth Harmon Howard left city life behind and purchased a parcel of land in the quiet countryside of Walnut Creek, California. Nature lovers at heart, they were inspired by their many visits to the Redwoods and Yosemite, and dreamed of creating a sanctuary rooted in beauty, community, and stewardship.

While building their home on the property, Charles and Elizabeth began tending to the land and planning the gardens that would become a hallmark of their estate. Once the house was complete, they raised their three sons—Peter, Harmon, and Bruce—on a vibrant property adorned with lovingly tended rose gardens. Visitors regularly came to admire the blooms, and the Howards frequently hosted large fundraisers in support of Oakland Children’s Hospital, reflecting their generous and service-minded spirit.

As the years passed, the next generation returned to the land. When Harmon and his wife, Joan, moved to the property, they converted the original tank house into a cozy home for Charles and Elizabeth, who remained next door and continued to garden and engage with the growing community. Harmon and Joan raised their three children there, passing on the family’s deep-rooted love of nature. Harmon was especially devoted to roses, matilija poppies, and cheerful pansies.

Peter and his wife, Ruth, also made the land their home, building another house where they raised their four children—Anne, Barney, Frances, and Chuck. Ruth, a passionate and curious gardener, took special joy in discovering and nurturing unique and rare plant species.

The Howard family’s commitment to nature extended beyond their property lines. They played a key role in the establishment of Heather Farm Park and The Gardens at Heather Farm—a forward-thinking contribution that helped preserve green space in what has since become a bustling city. Today, the park’s rose garden stands as a testament to their vision and love of horticulture.

In time, Peter and Ruth’s children also made their homes on or near the original property. Barney and his wife, Joanne, moved in next to his sister Anne and her husband, Lyle, raising their own families in homes surrounded by vibrant gardens filled with vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Joanne continues to spend hours nurturing her garden and has been a devoted board member and volunteer for The Gardens at Heather Farm. She fosters a warm and welcoming space for family and friends to gather, and her home serves as a hub for many community meetings and events.

In 2010, when part of the property faced the threat of development, a new chapter began. Lizzie, great-granddaughter of Charles and Elizabeth, and her husband, Dan, stepped in to preserve the legacy. They purchased the tank house property and raised their three children—Sadie, Zoot, and Tobie—on the very land that had nurtured generations before them. Today, this cherished place is known as High Oaks, and it is here that High Oaks Blooming was lovingly created—a continuation of the family’s enduring devotion to nature, beauty, and community across generations.
